Today is already the fourth day of New Year, these few days really no time to update my blog. Cause when I awake prepare and go out, when back home and go to sleep. Now I'm waitting friends to pick me up so a quick update.

在主打曲目《That's Not My Name》獲得英國流行音樂單曲榜的冠軍壹周之後，來自英國曼城的獨立流行二人組Ting Tings的處子專輯《We Started Nothing》又在本周的英國專輯榜中折桂.

早在去年五月，當Ting Tings樂隊還屬于獨立廠牌Switchflicker的時候，他們就把主打單曲《That's Not My Name》和《Great DJ》放在壹起發行過。但或許是宣傳的問題，這兩首歌的原型在當時並沒有能夠引起大家的注意。後來，Ting Tings的主唱/吉他手Katie White和鼓手Jules De Martino將老歌回爐再造，並在今年春天加盟大唱片公司之後再次發行。果不其然，《That's Not My Name》在上榜首周就獲得了英國單曲榜冠軍，而《Great DJ》上榜第壹周也沖進了前40名。

應該說，《We Started Nothing》的發行挑准了時機。它選在這個沒有其他英國新人發片的時候容易得到關注，而且這個春夏交接的季節本身也是非常適合聽Ting Tings這種活力四射的音樂。輕松、跳動的旋律，Katie White漫不經心的演唱再加上合適的商業定位使得這張《We Started Nothing》壹經發行就得到了很好的市場反應，不過，在早已泛濫的Indie大潮中，Ting Tings本身似乎還缺少壹些能夠讓人記住的特質。
